**Position Duties**:Responsible for leading QOS initiatives within the production department.Review with production team leaders and Process Coaches quality issues and be the point of contact with other departments such as Machining, Quality and MP&L.Coordinate during quality concerns containment actions, dock holds, special checks to eliminate any impact to customer.Keep traceability records regarding quality actions for future reference.Manage quality documentation on FTT, 8Ds, Scrap, Dock Holds, Dock Audit, etc.Participate in Quality and Contamination audits.Prepare standard reports for Quality reviews within the plant and with other areas."Review rejected parts for quality integrity and decide next steps. Issue daily Incoming Quality report.Lead cross functional team initiatives in quality to achieve no faults forward / zero defects.Lead 8D resolution of Warranty and VO concerns working together with Quality, MP&L, Machining and VO.Coordinate Green and Black Belt projects within the department."Work with QLSCM, POSMON and other required systemsDocument and control error proofing checks, internal checks, and additional containments.Participate in interplant benchmarking exercisesActively participate in Simultaneous Engineering meetings, Forward Planning and Product Design to ensure MTC process is followed.Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.Manage and direct statistical process control activitiesKnowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysisEstablish and monitor quality target levels for each buildProvide input for design and assembly concepts which will yield nominal variationsEstablish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methodsDetermine inspection equipment and facility requirementsSupport expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Department, Production and SuppliersReview internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibilityReview incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions**Minimum Requirements**:Education: High School DiplomaExperience: Experience in manufacturing engineeringDemonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectivesProven problem solving abilitySix Sigma Green Belt certifiedPrevious production supervisionMicrosoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)**Preferred Requirements**Education: Bachelor’s degree in related fieldExperience: Previous automotive and quality analysis experience**With a focus on Dimensional Control**:Use company and industry standard processes and tools to plan, design, manage, and utilize gauges for measurement of components and assemblies.Interpret data from inspection equipment and recommend responsesEnsure gauage calibration; certification; and repeatability and reproducibilityDetermine locators and measuring pointsVerify tolerance/engineering specificationsDevelop dimensional/product/process control plansDefine and conduct machine process capability analyses
