Senior Software Engineer

At Walmart, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative solutions that support millions of customers and associates worldwide. What will you do? Lead the discovery, design, and implementation of medium to large-scale software projects. Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Guide and mentor small engineering teams, including offshore associates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Provide expert technical guidance and support to stakeholders across the organization. What are we looking for? Language: Java Framework: Spring Boot Databases: SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Neo4J Caching: Redis APIs & Web Services: Experience building and consuming RESTful services Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree + 4 years of experience in software engineering. Proven experience leading technology projects and mentoring engineers. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Preferred: Experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g., routers, switches, servers). Cisco certification is a plus. Demonstrates respect, inclusion, and a commitment to team development.
