We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.- We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role **Java L1 Production Support**- **Role Purpose**:- **Main Activities**- This position will start taking user support activities and when high level of familiarity with the systems had been demonstrated developing in Java.- Analyse and investigate about issues.- Review logs to find out what the error/issue is.- Contact users to better understand an issue.- Contact other teams to help on resolving users’ issues.- Guide users when the issue can be resolve by themselves.- Raise Jira tickets when help from second or third level support is required.- Participate in the whole SDLC for delivering new features.- Qualifications - External- Spring framework +2 years of experience as developer but preferably as support engineer- Spring APIs + 1 year experience whether at development or preferably support.- Able to keep a fluent conversation in English, both understanding what is being told and expressing ideas clearly to the others.- Taste for supporting users with IT issues.- Taste for analysis and investigation.- Taste for collaborating with teammates and with other teams to resolve issues.** Desirable**:- Jira.- ServiceNow.- Power apps.- Microservices.- Agile methodology.- iSeries.** Competencies**:- Proactive Learner- Challenges Taker- Initiative Driven- Outside of the Box Thinker- Effective Communicator- At HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of leave days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
