**Job Details****What do you do?**Join us in the Procurement Execution Center as a Buyer I. This role assists more senior buyers and category managers to performs a range of activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, suppliers, and services based on established quality standards, availability requirements and price constraints.**How will you do it?**- Assists more senior buyers and performs a range of activities associated with the procurement of transportation and logistics services based on established quality standards, availability requirements and price constraints (RFx’s, Payment Term negotiations, etc. )- Support annual Logistics RFx for all transportation modes using preferred e-Sourcing tool.- Support and drive a standard contract management practice and standard contract terms throughout the global logistics organization.- Analyzes quotes and assists in the RFP Analysis for Logistics, as part of the overall RFP Management activities.- Researches the Category and provides Market Intelligence to the Category Manager, to enable Economics analytics (for example understanding the impact of labor inflation in the category).- Generates financial/savings reporting using our preferred tool (Wave).- M anage the Global Logistics rate repository by adequately engaging Commodity Managers and ensuring best-in-class rate management practices Other Procurement duties as assigned.- Management and collection of supplier diversity certificates and expirations.- Other Procurement duties as assigned.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in related field.- +2 years of relevant experience in Procurement. Prior experience in Transportation and Logistics is preferred.- Deep understanding of RFx processes. General understanding of a Source-To-Pay process.- Basics of contract lifecycle management principles. Demonstrate ability to read through an SOW and contracts.- Strong MS Office skills required. Advanced Excel (index/match, array formulas) or VBA is preferred.- Microsoft Power Apps (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) or other data tools preferred.- Strong analytical skills and business judgment.“Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion”Additional InformationOvertime Status: Exempt
