"Metal" "ingeniería metálica" "automatización" "automation"**What do you get to do in this position?**- This position will report to the** Industrialization VP** in the Home & Distribution Industrialization Department.- Lead the automation department for new product introduction by creating detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets- Build a reliable supply chain of vendors, including automation manufacturers and integrators, looking for the best quality, shortest lead time, optimized pricing, owning the review of the full quoting process.- Leads innovative technology and process optimization projects within discipline.- Develop automation competencies focusing on capability development, mentoring, career development, and aligning the organization to address strategic challenges and future business needs.- Provide technical support and perspective in upper management reviews regarding strategy and performance to goals.- Coach, mentor and train automation engineers within the department by providing technical and analytical guidance.- Create sustainable and repeatable automation solutions through the development of installation and quality standards, standardization, work instructions and TPM, vendor evaluation and requirements, and other documentation as needed.- Responsible for total life ownership for all automation and mechanization solutions, including planned life-cycle management, run-state performance and continuous improvement, and system optimization.- Develop a comprehensive list of requirements and deliverables by liaising with a range of key stake holders to drive alignment through collaboration.**Qualifications**- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering required- Advanced Degree in Engineering or Business Management preferred- Minimum five (5) years of experience implementing automation projects within a manufacturing environment- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a manager or leader of people- Experience in business/strategy planning and execution- Strong manufacturing knowledge of equipment and process improvement- Project management, financial skills and business acumen knowledge- Able to build effective strategic relationships and team building through strong interpersonal skills- Ability to interact, influence and convince through all levels of the organization- Strong understanding of quality techniques and systems- Experience and exposure to various manufacturing operations- Ability to understand team/group P&L statements- Strong presentation and communication skills- Ability to think tactically and strategically
