**JOB DESCRIPTION**:Satellite Teams is looking for Medical Records Specialists who will work for a well known personal injury law firm, based in the United States. This role must have high quality records related support that can maintain positive working relationships with clients, attorneys and support staff. Adheres to strict confidentiality, timeliness and accuracy of all related work. Possess high attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize urgent tasks despite heavy workload, and excel under pressure. In addition, you may be assigned with special projects depending on business needs that may require direction and guidance by the management and/or the team leaders.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Responsible in requesting bills and records and provide attentive, efficient service to clients- Responsible for solving complaints from clients and employees- Run reports to ensure numbers are being met by the department and the clients- Ensure all files sent to demands have the necessary documentation- Ensure staff members follow policies and procedures- Maintain good relationships with providers, signing their liens- Responsible for maintaining and securing records in accordance with the established Firm policies and procedures- Receives and processes files for central filing- Assembles files in client/matter number order and maintains the organization of the filing system- Researches the location of documents upon the request of designated office management and clients- Assists in the conversion of incoming lateral client/matter files into the Firm wide records management system- Manages the inventory of files and handles file retrieval requests- Responsible in selecting procedures to be followed, and searching for interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of document sources QUALIFICATIONS- At least one year of law firm experience with prior experience in law firm records is preferred- Must have a background in nursing or any medical field that can review medical records- Well organized, attention to detail, and good with analytical and multi-tasking- Strong written and verbal communication skills, knows spanish is a plus- Should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, SAP and Adobe Acrobat)- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and tact- Ability to work independently or in team environments to complete projects efficiently- Ability to adhere to law office procedures is a plus- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure- Active knowledge of medical terminology is a plus- Knowledgeable in Records Management principles, Records Retention principles & processes, Audit process for Electronic Records, and Filing and data entry best practices- Excellent customer service skills**Salary**: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per monthWork Location: One location
