Summary Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitate lean and process improvement based continuous improvement (CI) workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
  • Participate in CI global community, assisting in creation of best practice documentation and procedures.
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of cross-functional SCM processes and applications to support global SCM strategies.
  • Work with Celestica, Customer and Supplier teams to deliver transactional and collaborative solutions.
  • Provide technical, business process and project leadership to the global user community, IT and other SCM resources.
  • Advise senior management of process issues, opportunities and recommend action plans.
  • Develop process and skill-specific education programs including certification programs.
  • Coordinate efforts of experts and staff to prepare and deliver programs on a priority basis.
  • Recommend and implement alternative best of breed methods including computer-assisted training.
  • Assist in change-management initiatives to ensure common and optimal processes across the sites.
  • Lead IT in the development and utilization of IT tools for automation.
  • Consult with IT on processes required with knowledge of Celestica procurement procedure.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the global business environment and customers' business.
  • Possess broad knowledge of global supply chain, manufacturing business, and financial measurements.
  • Have working knowledge of IT processes and system integration.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
  • Design complex systems, processes and business relationships.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of Adult Education techniques.
  • Exhibit excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Show strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills.
  • Identify and resolve complex process/system problems using analytical models.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks.
Physical Demands
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor may be required.
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
  • Extensive prolonged overnight travel may be required.
Typical Experience
  • Six to eight years relevant experience.
Typical Education
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Engineering, IT or Materials), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
