Index Products Intern

**Position overview**For this specific role, the intern will work directly with senior members of MSCI’s Global Partnerships Team and will be responsible for supporting the team in conceptualizing, executing and managing partnership opportunities with third party organizations that will accelerate product development, innovation and revenue growth across a range of strategic focus areas. Beyond gaining real project-based work experience, interns will walk away with a solid understanding of MSCI’s business, the industry that we operate in and our culture. They will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from a diverse team across the organization.**Your key responsibilities**- Owning central management and coordination of partnership pipeline as well as maintaining detailed updates with respect to each deal’s status and expected execution timelines- Support creation of individual project plans, often involving multiple, parallel workstreams, ensuring adherence to Global Partnership Governance Framework e.g., vetting, due diligence, contract negotiation, etc.- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to support development of business cases and due diligence of target partner organizations- Collaborate across a wide range of internal functions (including Research, Legal, Marketing, Product Management) to drive accelerated execution of partnership deals and tighter communication with key stakeholders- Produce deliverables that include opportunity sizing and financial forecasts for a given project, draft deal term sheets and weekly pipeline updates for senior management- Contribute new ideas to enhance our global partnership strategy**Specific knowledge and skills**- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal- High attention to detail and good team player- Discipline and comfort to take ownership of and execute on new projects with mínimal oversight- Ability to formulate and verbally defend independent views to actively drive innovation and problem solving- Must have exceptional planning, prioritization and organizational skills- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues into smaller, manageable parts- Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and work under time constraints- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint**Desired experience**- Currently studying Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field- Previous experience in consulting, strategy, corporate development, finance, internnational relations a plus- Experience with software such as SalesForce, Power BI, Microsoft Project/List is desirable**Desired qualifications**- Currently studying Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field- Previous experience in consulting, strategy, corporate development, finance, international relations a plus- Experience with software such as SalesForce, Power BI, Microsoft Project/List is desirable**About MSCI**At MSCI we are passionate about what we do, and we are inspired by our purpose - to power better investment decisions.
