The Oracle Utilities Global Delivery Consulting group continues to improve its core delivery value proposition through the recruitment and development of top technical talent.**Role**This **Staff Consultant** position is primarily responsible to work on Oracle Utilities Implementation, Maintenance, Support and Testing Projects for Oracle Utilities Clients. Leveraging their prior knowledge in Java and J2EE and Utilities Framework, Configuration Tools (if any), this developer will work as part of team with other consultants, project and delivery managers.**Key Objectives**:- Work as part of the project team and responsible for converting technical/internal design specifications to program the software system.- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality programs within agreed budgets and time frames.**Responsibilities**- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle- Build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code ensuring completeness and correctness of Functional Requirements- Ensure the developed software modules and programs meets the required quality characteristics and Non Functional Requirements (e.g. performance, reliability, responsiveness, etc.)- Identify bottlenecks bugs and devise solutions to these problems- Help maintain code quality, organization and automation- Liaise with designers and participate in technical design walkthroughs- Develop/Implement and Unit test the programs and configurations related to the designs.- Perform code and unit test reviews during development phases- Provide regular status reports to Project Manager.**Required Experience and Qualifications**:- At least **two (2)** years of software development experience, preferably in a multi-national organization- At least **two (1)** year of work experience in java or groovy or java script development.- Technical capability in the areas of Java, J2EE, XML, XPath and Webservices.- Experience in Building Custom Solutions using tool stacks is a plus.- Techno/Functional Knowledge of Oracle Utilities Products such as Customer Care and Billing (CCB), Meter Data management (MDM), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Work and Asset management (WAM), Integration Stack, Network Management (NMS) and Outage management (OMS) is preferable.- Knowledge in any Customer Management and Billing System a plus- Experience in Object-oriented Design a plus- Strong written and spoken English communication skills**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Junior consulting position for those who are continuing to develop their expertise.
