Senior Facilities Engineer

Responsible for planning and programming activities, coordination, engineering management, bidding process, and technical aspects of projects (architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, sustainability, etc.); for execution and implementation. In addition, develop the criteria by which the success of the project shall be measured, including inspection methods, review of project designs, and implementation of project elements, including identifying project responsibilities and delegating phases, elements, and processes to personnel/contractors involved in the development of projects. Responsibilities: Maintain and create building and facilities drawings to align with drawing specifications and standards. Coordinate change management activities, assess building-related change management proposals, and deliver change management presentations to management. Provide oversight into any building-related projects such as expansions, remodels, specifications. Plan and implement design of facilities equipment and structural improvements. Ensure facilities have all applicable permits and are compliant with FM standards and local government requirements (construction permits). Prepare the scope, schedules, coordinate, and monitor the engineering of the projects; review engineering deliverables and take corrective action if necessary. Ensure that the engineering used for the projects complies with all standards and codes, practices, policies, specifications, and safety requirements. Assess accuracy of projects to ensure they run their course in established time, cost, quality, and safety. Organize and lead meetings with clients and/or requestors of the project to follow up on the progress of planning, execution, monitoring, and control of the projects, as well as to present the corresponding status of the project. Execute bidding processes and work in coordination with the purchasing area to define the selection of the supplier indicated in the execution of the project. Make communication presentations regarding the status of the progress of the projects for the general management of the company and those involved in the project. Administer contractor and service companies for the execution of projects. Execute the processes (Start, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Closure) of project management. Design and manage the process map for project management from the stage of receipt of the requirement to the delivery of the solution proposal for review and corresponding approval. Manage the CPR requirement for the approval of the project execution. Generate and administer the budget for the implementation of the projects. Manage sustainability projects, maintaining Metrics/KPIs on track about project plans. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: 5+ years of design and project management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong project management and good communication skills. Advanced knowledge of CAD. Working knowledge of building standards and construction codes. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications. Development of the scope and parameters of project designs and implementation. 5’s execution in project management.
