Senior Java Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a biopharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes products and treatments in dermatology and aesthetic medicines. Its products include RT001, a physician-applied topical botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) for cosmetic, hyperhidrosis, and dermatologic indications. The company was founded in 2002 and is based in Mountain View, California.**Requirements**:- At least 5+ years of experience with distributed systems or microservices.- Experience in software development designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant systems that are PCI compliant.- Extremely proficient programming skills with Java and Spring framework.- Experience with AWS building blocks, such as Kinesis, Redshift, RDS, etc.- Experience with Terraform.- A high level of curiosity and keep abreast of the latest technologies.- Rigor in automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices.- High-level analytical skills in taking business requirements and creating solutions.- Self-motivated, self-starting, paying attention to details and being a great team player.- Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to resolve ambiguity.- Creative and innovative individual, able to think outside the box.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**Responsibilities**:- Help refactor and build out the payments platform leveraging microservices.- Work cross-functionally with the client’s product, analytics, and operations team to develop new features and improve existing processes.- Build systems that manage customers’ sensitive data and hold the client to the highest standards for security and compliance.- Perform constant quality improvement of code and infrastructure.- Estimate engineering efforts and come up with realistic schedules and plans.- Identify and resolve complex production issues Unit test everything.Will be a plus:- Experience with microservices.- Expertise in NoSQL DBs.- Experience with Docker.- Knowledge of Linux.We Offer:- Legal IMSS contract (no mix schema).- 10 vacation days after 1st year.- 5 PTOs per year after 3rd month.- 10 Mexican national holidays.- 25% Vacations Bonus.- 30 salary days as Christmas Bonus.- Comprehensive Health and Life insurance.- Health insurance for family members.- Remote work support.- Flexible Home Office depends on a project.- Optional English lessons.- Professional growth support.- Monthly MXN 1,000.00 pantry vouchers.- Svitla referral program.About Svitla:Svitla Systems is a multinational software development company headquartered in Silicon Valley, with business and development offices throughout the US, Mexico, and Europe (Ukraine, Poland, Western Europe).
