An exciting career awaits youAt MPC, we’re committed to being a great place to work - one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for handling daily import activity via vessel, truck and rail into Mexico- Collects, reviews, analyzes documents associated with importation into Mexico through the different modes of transportation and provides documents to brokers in a timely manner- Maintains customs records to support audit readiness- Works with schedulers and brokers to ensure operational business needs are met- Reviews pro forma pedimentos to ensure compliance with RNNA and company’s standards- Processes invoice payments and maintains broker’s aging account up to date.- Assists with documents for weekly, monthly, and quarterly government reports concerning imports (CRE and SENER)- Assists in onboarding of new brokers including development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), process mapping, and periodic process improvement reviews. Evaluates broker output for accurate reporting of import volumes, weekly tax IEPS, tax rates, and other critical data fields.- Reviews new regulations and laws affecting the hydrocarbon industry- Supports month-end close activities including reconciliations, review of import logs, and data validation.- Back-up/support of daily operations of non-hydrocarbon importations- Supports customs team in audit responses, including the collection and organization of the data/documents.- Completes special projects, as required. This may include heavy data analysis in excel, independent research and analysis, inter-department collaboration, working with Mexican Government agencies and/or outside parties, etc.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting/International Business/Business Administration/Finance- 5+ years of Mexico Customs or tax data analysis, or Customs Broker Agency- Bilingual - Fluency (speaking and writing) in both Spanish and English- Must have a VISA to travel to and from the United States.As an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.**Location**:Mexico City MXAdditional locations:Tijuana MXJob Requisition ID:Location Address:Torre II, Perif.
