Java Solutions Engineer (Contractor) Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico Hybrid: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote Local candidates only Contract Type: Contractor Language Requirement: Fully bilingual – English & Spanish (mandatory) Job Description We are looking for a Java Solutions Engineer to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who has hands-on experience with Java and exposure to Kubernetes or containerized environments , and who is eager to grow their skills in solution design and modern application development. The ideal candidate is based locally in Santa Catarina or nearby, comfortable working in a hybrid setup, and able to collaborate with international teams in an English-speaking environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend applications using Java Support the design and implementation of software solutions under senior guidance Assist with deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements Participate in code reviews and follow established development best practices Help troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing applications Document technical work and communicate progress clearly Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in English and Spanish Required Qualifications Must be local to Santa Catarina, Nuevo León (or nearby) Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) 5 of experience in software development (including internships or projects) Hands-on experience with Java Basic to intermediate experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container technologies Understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming Strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow technically Preferred Qualifications Exposure to cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ) Basic understanding of microservices and REST APIs Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or version control tools (Git)
