Resumen del puesto El ingeniero de herramientas es responsable de supervisar la ingeniería de herramientas de inyección de termoplásticos con moldadores personalizados externos, así como las herramientas que se ejecutan internamente, ya sea en el sitio de Tijuana o con plantas hermanas. Deberes y responsabilidades esenciales Es responsable de: Proteger los equipos de herramientas de inyección de termoplásticos de Smiths Medical con los proveedores, así como internamente, manteniendo actualizados los registros de cada herramienta. Mantener los equipos de herramientas funcionando correctamente, supervisa a los proveedores externos e internos para garantizar que las herramientas se mantengan correctamente y que se establezca el mínimo-máximo de componentes de repuesto y se almacenen adecuadamente. Asegurar que se establezca el ciclo de vida adecuado de las herramientas para crear programas de reemplazo oportunos para evitar averías repentinas de las herramientas e interrupciones del suministro. Garantizar la claridad sobre la capacidad de cada herramienta con los proveedores externos e internos para permitir la proactividad en los programas de aumento de capacidad y gestionar mejor las fluctuaciones de la demanda. Responsable de Adquisición de moldes de inyección de termoplásticos: Preparar la solicitud de cotización (RFQ) y establecer el alcance del trabajo con los proveedores. Especificar los requisitos de herramientas con los proveedores de acuerdo con las necesidades de producción, cavitación, sistema de inyección, sistemas de expulsión, tipo de acero, acabado superficial, etc. Supervisa la fabricación de herramientas desde la aprobación del diseño hasta la prueba inicial con los proveedores. Ejecuta FAT Run con el proveedor e impulsa los ajustes o cambios necesarios antes de la aprobación. Conocimiento y Habilidades Conocimientos en equipos y maquinaria de la sala de herramientas necesarios para reparar, reacondicionar y mantener herramientas de inyección. Software de modelado 3D para análisis y consultoría, preferentemente Solid Works. Habilidades en hablar, entender, leer y escribir el idioma inglés. Cualificaciones, Educación y Experiencia mínimos Licenciatura en la disciplina de Ingeniería, Ingeniería Mecánica, Ingeniería Eléctrica, Ingeniería Industrial o Grado en Ingeniería relacionada con la Fabricación. Mínimo de 5 años de experiencia en la Industria Médica, el interés principal del candidato es que Comprenda las regulaciones de agencias como FDA y Cofepris, comprenda claramente el proceso de validación, la estructura y las técnicas estadísticas para una validación adecuada. Formación científica en moldeo. Es preferible el maestro moldeador 1 o 2. Experiencia en el uso de herramientas Lean Six Sigma para mejoras de procesos / sistemas. Experiencia en la gestión de moldeadores personalizados y fabricantes de herramientas externos, principalmente en los EE. UU. Con un mínimo de 10 años de experiencia práctica en la adquisición y especificación de herramientas de inyección, resolución de problemas, transferencia y validación. #J-18808-Ljbffr
