Packaging engineer profileJob descriptionThe main role of the position is to ensure packaging processes are in place and well understood. Development of packaging for finished goods, raw materials and spare parts. Evaluate packaging processes and propose changes for improvement.**Responsibilities**:- Design, test and validate packaging solutions, including dividers, pallets, barrier bags and corrugated cartons- Data creation of new packaging materials and pallet logic data- Utilize the packaging design checklist to understand packaging requirements, such as ESD, automation, moisture protection, and container and pallet size restrictions- Develop the packaging validation plan for packaging designs per customer testing standards. Coordinate testing, evaluate results and submit report to cross-functional team for review and approval.- Participate in cross-functional meetings and product design reviews, assuring the proposed packaging design meets or exceeds expectations, adjusting as needed throughout design process.- Timely add information about new packaging materials and labels (BOM), and use matching and attaching methods- Deal with mass production ECO and BCN and deal with data exceptions- Understands packaging processes, update SOP’s and provide training to key people in operations**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field- 3+ years of experience in similar position- Knowledge of packaging materials including carton, nylon and polyethylene- Good industrial design skills and planning skills- Be familiar with the indirect materials used to verify RoHS compliance- Good interpersonal skills and effective communication which able to express technical concepts in verbal and written forms- Strong analytical skills- English intermediate level (Reading and written minimum required)Application Question(s):- Cuanto ganaba en su último/actual empleo?
