We’ll give you a comprehensive course in all things travel and prepare you with everything you need to be successful as a full-time Travel Counselor assisting our client through phone.Travel Counselors are the heart of our organization at Amex GBT, providing world class service to our corporate travel clients. You’ll learn how to use industry standard booking systems (Global Distribution Systems / GDS), resolve customer inquiries for all types of travel via phone, and much more.What You’ll DoLearn about our products and services GBT provides, including our end-to-end booking processAdvise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)Educate customers on travel options including air, road, rail, and accommodationsUse various Global Distribution Systems (GDS)Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirementsUse positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requestsCollaborate within your team coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levelsWe look forward to sharing more detailed job functions and key performance indicators during the interview process.What We’re Looking ForHighly proficient in computer skills including basic trouble shooting and confident in navigating new software platforms.Experience in customer service, sales, call centers, or hospitality (3+ years) with extensive customer interaction.Strong interpersonal communication, full proficiency in English language with exceptional listening, speaking, and problem-solving skills.Passionate about world-class customer service (empathetic, calm, and courteous)Must have a quiet, secure home office space, free from noise and interruption. Must have reliable high speed internet service at your address.Our Traveler Care unit is a 24/7 operation, so we’re looking for people who are excited about working some non-traditional hours, for this position we are looking for a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am-9pm CST.Learn more about our teams, culture, and this position below.
