Flex, a Fortune global 500 company, is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world.We believe in the power of diversity and inclusion and cultivate a workplace culture of belonging that views uniqueness as a competitive edge and builds a community that enables our people to push the limits of innovation to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.Job Summary- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _- NPI _- Buyer_- located in _- Guadalajara, North Campus_- ._- Reporting to the NPI/TPI buyer, NPI buyer role involves_ working on coordinating activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.What a typical day looks like:- _ Reviews requisitions and MRP output._- _ Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery._- _ Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase._- _ Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output._- _ Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery and inventories._- _ Manages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate._- _ Approves invoices for payment._- _ Expedites delivery of goods to users._- _ Analyzes inventory levels. Prepares liability reports for excess and obsolete management._- _ May gather quotations, examine bids, negotiate contracts and make awards._- _ May plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle._- _ Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure both delivery and the best market price._- _ Makes tactical buying decisions.
