Recognized as a top area employer, you can build your dream career at Therma-Tru in our engaged, performance-driven culture.**Job Description**:A maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for the preparation and issuance of purchase orders by the MRO buyers for products and services that are used to maintain and fix broken machines. The job requires regular interaction with the factory staff and or maintenance/engineering to know what supplies are required. The MRO Purchasing Supervisor and the buyers research quotes for maintenance products and negotiate pricing with vendors. The ultimate goal for the MRO Supervisor is to reduce the cost of maintaining existing equipment, so negotiating with vendors for bulk discounts and finding the lowest-cost materials within quality standards is critical for the position's success.**Qualifications**:- Supervise and ensure that buyers focus on finding the best supplies and suppliers for the company.- Act as a connector between the company and suppliers, creating and maintaining stable relationships, as well as between the purchasing team and the requisitor.- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that lead us to reduce the expenditure made on purchase orders, prioritizing the best cost and delivery times.- Leader in the training and continuous improvement in the department and the correct administration of the warehouse / Tool Crib.- Responsible for monitoring compliance and establishment of procurement and service contracts, as well as being the leader of the plant's service tenders.- Authorize and validate purchase and service requisitions in accordance with the company's procedures and practices.- Responsible for the fulfillment of purchase orders for goods and services, as well as the closing of orders.- Manage supplier development and follow-up to supplier complaints.- Monitor administrative processes related to the acquisition of goods and services.- Supervise the attention provided by the purchasing team to the requisitions of the plant.- Comply with the rules and procedures on comprehensive security, established by the organization.- Supervise compliance with 5's in the department, as well as EHS regulations.- Prepare periodic reports of the activities carried out (KPI's).- Supervise the correct implementation of savings programs in the department in accordance with the goal established by the company.- Work with the Managers of New Products, Projects and Engineering in the successful launch of new products and / or engineering changes, minimizing obsolete material to the maximum.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
