Overview Description Responsibilities Lead complex projects related to the administration of legal entities and corporate structures. Resolve complex problems by applying functional expertise and understanding current business trends. Develop methods and procedures for new assignments to improve global processes. Provide valuable insights on corporate governance and compliance to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on entity management strategies. Expected Qualifications 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualification Responsibilities (Mexico focus) Provide governance and legal entity oversight of Mexico to support the development of PayPal’s business, organization, employees, and brand. Support the execution of strategic regulatory engagement plan for Mexico. Assist with onsite audits and discussions with regulators on critical issues. Help drive legal / regulatory advice on potential growth initiatives and consider the impact on legal entity management. Enable the business to move quicker by helping streamline processes and ensuring control functions are able to support commercial objectives. Ensure there is clear and open cross-functional communication. Promote PayPal’s internal and external image and reputation internationally. Build effective, trust-based, working relationships with Head Office, the local Boards, Regulators, Government, Industry bodies and other key stakeholders. Monitor and track legislation and regulatory initiatives impacting PayPal. Support crisis management matters with management. Understand and support local licensing requirements to ensure appropriate compliance with the obligations and how it can enable strategic business objectives for Mexico. Qualifications Experience creating Board presentations and engagement with Board of Directors and Regulators. Familiarity with the Mexico markets, coupled with perspectives from working in a matrixed environment. Ideally this person would have experience working for a US multi-national at some stage in their career. Experience in Mexico Payments industry (Acquirer side) Knowledgeable about competitive forces within and outside of the industry. Track record of driving results for an organization. BS / BA Required English speaking required Capabilities Financially astute and knowledgeable about regulated businesses. Strong analytical skills and able to make clear and well-judged decisions in the face of uncertainty. Able to influence senior leaders with different views and management styles. Background / Technical Skills Demonstrate a broad understanding of PayPal’s overall value proposition. Technical credibility across a broad range of functions. Ability to help navigate complex legal entity structures and partnerships. Will understand the nuances of operating internationally, particularly in Mexico.
