The Packing Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing packaging solutions for our automotive components. This position requires a strong understanding of packaging principles, materials, and processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective packaging solutions. In your daily job you will:- Design/validate/document new pack configurations and components.- Work packaging cost reduction for existing designs.- Work with customers to understand requirements and obtain customer approval of packaging.- Support plants when packaging problems occur.- Working with packaging suppliers and vendors to develop packaging solutions.- Create validation plans and generate reports.- Support container management.**Your Background**Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:- Experience in Automotive industry.- Knowledge in Customer Packaging Portals and guidelines.- CAD Drawing skills.- MS office proficient.- English proficiency able to maintain business effective conversation.- SAP knowledge.- Strong sense of urgency.- Problem solving methodology.- Continuous improvement.- Knowledge of ASTM D4169**Why join us?**- **You can grow at Aptiv.**Aptiv provides an inclusive work environment where all individuals can grow and develop, regardless of gender, ethnicity or beliefs.- **You can have an impact**.
