Overview**Job title-Packaging engineer****Job location-Toluca, Mexico.**Job description:Rack Design Responsibilities- Schedule and manage math data pulls- Schedule and manage all rack designs and builds at various levels- Detailed documentation of all meetings (meeting minutes)- Review rack build prints and prototype to verify suppliers follow Stellant is rack design standards.- Review all carryover rack designs for redline updates and get signed concurrence from assembly plants on required changes prior to new fleet or additional racks are kicked-off.- Review and obtain Ergonomic and Plant Safety approval on all rack designs (IMPORTANT)- Complete Stellant is buyoff forms for each rack design, which requires buy-off from Supplier Quality, Safety, Ergo & WO. (REQUIRED). Copies must be kept and provided to PM and uploaded into Sharepoint, Google Drive or Microsoft Database.- Participate in the WPI process to help determine SPD concepts- Project Closing - Finalize prints and rack models in MLM’s Sharepoint, Google drive, or Microsoft database and Teamcenter (including both product data and the rack model in Native NX or Step files, JT files and a pdf of the print for each design)Rack Testing Responsibilities- Schedule and attend all tests (virtual, PIRA, white light, etc)- Obtain parts for testing (or 3D printed parts for part fit)- Test Report must be uploaded into MLM’s Sharepoint, Google drive, or Microsoft database.- Interim Corrective Actions & Permanent Corrective Actions to support quality deliveries to Stellantis Assembly Plant.Rack Build Responsibilities- Attendance in weekly build meetings- Maintain TTO / VP build spreadsheet and timing for CPCP report out- Maintain VP and V1 build spreadsheet and timing for CPCP report out- Communication with build support team on 1st articles / 20 rack certs (the engineer will be required to be part of the process. This could involve traveling to rack fabricators to be a part of the 1st articles / 20 rack certs)- Responsible for getting parts to the rack fabricator and verifying part fit in the rack- Responsible for getting the robotic check fixtures to/from the rack fabricator- Responsible for scheduling and attending ALL Robotic check fixture reviews- Rack PM will be responsible for creating Field Order Changes (FOC’s)- Validate drawing accuracy on any existing / carryover racks.- Maintain SPD build timing in Spreadsheet/Database.- Rack PM will be responsible to facilitate rack reworks between OEM & Fabricators.- SPD builds require the Rack PM to complete the First Article paperwork, Build Certification paperwork and upload them to google drive or the MLM Sharepoint.- Rack PMs are responsible for coordinating shipments of old level racks from Plant or Supplier to Fabricators to be updated to the latest design levels to support production.- ️ All old level racks shall be updated to the latest level in a timely manner and at worst by the close of program. Rack PM needs to ensure manpower coverage for this to ensure project closure.
