We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Manager Network Infrastructure Lead a regional / global team of Data Networks Routing & Switching Engineers working in an Agile team to design, build, test, deploy and support (DevOps) Network products, primarily focused on the Enterprise Data Centre Cisco Routing and Switching estate. Alongside product engineering, build automation and API's for customer consumption, drive efficiency across the Telecoms estates globally. Interact with our customers to understand requirements and services that would benefit them in the future and work with Product Owners to drive such initiatives through to delivery. The definition and continued development of engineering practices will be essential, defining standards and best practices alongside the Head of the Core Networks Engineering discipline covering Telecoms globally. Principal responsibilities Responsible for a team of Operational Engineers which form part of a product team who are accountable for continued delivery of feature enhancements, initially focused on the HSBC Data Centre Routing and Switching Platform with the potential to cover other products within Telecoms. DevOps provides the opportunity to be involved end-to-end from customer interaction right through to product support, and focuses teams on continuous improvement both in terms of the products delivered and the process to deliver said products. Working closely with Product owners to make key decisions on priorities, dependencies and future road map requirements Requirements Calificaciones - Externas Must have experience of software delivery life cycle along with a passion for engineering products and automation. Must have experience in managing large scale Data Centre Networks deployments, including in-depth experience of Cisco Routers / Switches (Nexus and ACI). Exposure and awareness to other disciplines (Analysis, Testing, Operational Support) within the software delivery life cycle. Strong background of working with the Agile methodology and associated tool sets - Jira, Confluence etc. Evidence of designing and building restful API's for customer consumption. Experience in the use of Mulesoft, Ansible, Python, Terraform and Git. Demonstrate ability to lead and drive a team to ensure team success in the form of value add deliverables with a regular delivery cadence. Customer and service focused, representing Telecoms globally. Strong leadership effectively implementing a servant leadership approach. Experience of driving a team to utilise Agile methodologies. Awareness of networking (Physical and Virtual). Ideally have previous experience of running large scale Data Centre Networks. In depth Knowledge of networking infrastructure deployments and operations, in particular Cisco ACI and Arista Enterprise switching. Experience of delivery of large scale projects. Operational support and incident management would be beneficial but not essential. Understand the environment in which we work and how we protect HSBC at all times, using the governance processes to our advantage to ensure we delivery high quality and safe products. Experience of delivering automation pipelines.
