Manufacturing operations reside in Hendersonville, NC, Pittsburgh, PA, Plympton, MA, Christiansburg, VA, Acuna, MX and Tijuana, MX.**Job Description**:**Role Summary/Purpose****Essential Responsibilities**- Main responsibility is increase market penetration, align with the third partners in the territory assigned and work with vertical leaders to achieve sales projects in the vertical of current business.- Provide for sales to prospects and customers for assigned territory through the formulation and execution for strategies and plans that capitalize on the customer's strengths as supplemented by CURRENT's products and services.- Build customer relationships with the assigned customer for sales- Support the assigned customer in sales activities and provide assistance to the customer in identifying new opportunities- Coordinate activities and establish individual sales strategies obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, and delivery- Negotiate contracts as required. Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base- Work with Marketing to develop project specific sales strategies for assigned customers- Make recommendations for continued growth**Qualifications**:**Basic Characteristics**- BA or BS Degree from an accredited university or college- Five or more years of solid experience in sales specific role- Strong Lighting Design Knowledge, capable of translate a complex customer requirements (Lighting needs) into a product or CURRENT solution.- Able to build strong relationships based on been seeing as the customer electrical consultant- If the person is not related to CURRENT products/ tools, the selected Sales Engineer will need at least 2- 3 weeks of product, tools and CURRENT solutions training before full assignment.- Capable to translate technical requirements into commercial solutions.**Desired Characteristics**- Strong presentation and Communication skills- Consulting skills- Demonstrated program management experience, ability to balance multiple priorities/deals at a time- Strong Project Based Selling experience- Prior GE Lighting / Current cross functional work experience a plus- Lighting, Solar or Digital industry experience - Participation in industry events- Training development and execution experience- Strong knowledge of Current field sales roles and responsibilities.- Deep domain of electricity: able to understand basic electricity calculations, electricity consumption, and electricity designs.Additional Information
