Procurement Strategist Lead

Job Summary Lead a procurement team to drive cost savings and strategic category development. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of professionals in procurement, ensuring efficient supply chain operations. Create and implement methodologies for evaluating supplier quality and performance. Establish strategies for category reviews using total cost of ownership analysis and request for proposal processes. Develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers, driving value and reducing risks. Design and implement policies and procedures for purchasing operations. Strategic Challenges Short‑term goal: Meet or exceed cost savings targets and implement strategic categories. Mid‑term objective: Develop and evaluate suppliers, reducing dependence on single‑source vendors. Long‑term vision: Drive sustainability in procurement through the adoption of advanced technologies and digital platforms. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement‑related roles. Master's degree preferred. A proven track record in cost‑savings projects and category strategy development is essential. Expertise in negotiation, supplier evaluation, project management, and international trade is required. Strong knowledge of global market trends and commodities is necessary. Desirable Skills Experience with TCO analysis, RFX processes, proposals, auctions, and tenders.
