The role involves delivering crucial healthcare analytics that have a positive impact on every care path across America. As the scope of this project expands, we are seeking a Data Scientist to join our exceptional team. This individual will play a key role in aiding post-acute providers to establish improved partnerships with referral sources, ensuring that more patients receive the necessary care at the right place and time.**Responsibilities**:- Develop Python and SQL scripts necessary to support curated datasets in proprietary solutions- Work within Snowflake in the virtual desktop to interpret, analyze, and build datasets as well as ad hoc reports- Serve as resident expert on data sources, calculations, and methodologies- Assist in sizing and scoping of new analytic projects, working with Product team to develop specifications and requirements- Assist in validation of new and existing datasets to support QA/test strategy- Design and document measure methodology and metric definitions in collaboration with other Data Scientists and Product teams- Work with internal and external stakeholders to translate business concepts into data deliverables in our platform**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience- Minimum of** 3 years of relevant professional experience**, coupled with experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry- Advanced programming skills with **SQL** skills required (e.g., writing advanced queries and macros, complex data sets, reverse engineering existing scripts, etc.)- Deep understanding of Medical Claims and/or Pharmacy claims data (Medicare FFS, Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, etc.)- Demonstrable experience **working with medical coding systems** (ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, MS DRG, NPPES NPI, etc.)- Ability to work independently, dive into data and build programs to aggregate and report data- Demonstrated experience with various data science technologies- Outstanding critical thinking, time management, and communication skills- Ability to thrive in a growth start-up organization- Inquisitive, self-starter with intellectual curiosity- Knowledge of software development technologies including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.- Ability and willingness to work with legacy SAS code as a plus- Great communication skills
