Location: LATAM/remote (Central Time Hours) Requirements: Must be able to prove residency with photo ID. Position Overview Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into high‑quality solutions, driving product evolution and excellence. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining the Employer Resources Library’s WordPress CMS, optimizing performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Conduct thorough code reviews, provide actionable feedback, and mentor junior engineers. Investigate and resolve technical challenges, including bugs and performance bottlenecks, and lead efforts to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Maintain the WordPress CMS, including plugin and theme customization, and integrate with third‑party services. Coordinate with stakeholders to refine product requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Core Technical Skills (5-7 years of experience) PHP – Advanced proficiency with WordPress customization, plugin development, and CMS integration. Java – Basic understanding; occasional feature maintenance. Python – Mid/junior level for small tools and automation; expected to grow in importance. React – Basic understanding preferred; willingness to learn and support frontend testing. Tools & Frameworks Jira – Project and issue tracking. Datadog – Monitoring and observability. JUnit & React Testing Library – Unit and integration testing. GraphQL – Strong knowledge of API design, schema development, and performance optimization. Nice to Have Skills Terraform – Infrastructure as code and cloud deployment management. AWS (S3, CloudFront) – Scalable and distributed cloud solutions. Additional Skills Understanding of SEO principles to optimize web performance and visibility. Awareness of AI integration and best practices for development use cases. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Adaptability to evolving technologies and shifting project priorities. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross‑functional teamwork. Future Outlook The role is currently WordPress/PHP‑heavy but will likely shift toward Python and AI‑focused projects over time. Willingness to learn will be key.
