We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Senior BI Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a key role in turning complex data into actionable insights, building sophisticated business intelligence tools, and empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements, and define project objectives Examine and document workflows, business processes, and system interactions to derive actionable insights Propose creative, data-driven solutions aimed at improving processes and driving business success Organize workshops, conduct interviews, and lead efforts to gather and clarify requirements Develop detailed documentation, including project specifications, user stories, and use cases Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the development cycle Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams to execute Assist in testing and implementing solutions to ensure they align with business needs and expectations Oversee multiple projects in a fast-moving environment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience as a BI Analyst, ideally with expertise in the insurance sector Advanced skills in SQL for data analysis, validation, and creating prototype queries, including joins, aggregates, and basic window functions Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, Data Lakes, Data Marts, star and snowflake schemas, and the distinction between fact and dimension tables Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for developing dashboards and visualizations Understanding of data quality principles like accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness, along with experience validating or testing reports Ability to translate business goals into KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks Experience working with data models, including ER diagrams and understanding entity relationships Familiarity with master data, reference data, and metadata management concepts Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies and experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to independently suggest innovative ideas and process improvements Strong skills in communication, stakeholder management, and presenting insights effectively English proficiency at B2 level or above to support effective communication and collaboration Nice to have Comprehensive understanding of insurance industry processes and regulatory requirements Experience with alternative BI tools or an interest in exploring emerging technologies in the field of data analytics We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn #J-18808-Ljbffr
