This is a challenging and dynamic role where the main responsibility is to be able to translate business needs into portfolios strategies, develop relationship with suppliers and conduct contract negotiations.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE NEEDED IN SIMILAR ROLES:Previous experience in Procurement (preferably), Supply Chain (Plan, make, source, deliver) or R&D.MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:Category Ownership:- Develop strategies that’s aligned to the business direction- Business partnering, manage internal and external stakeholders (e.g. R&D, logistics, operations, sourcing units)- Ensure competitive buying through industry benchmark, should-cost analysis, product innovation, market price movement monitoring- Work with cross-function teams to achieve product spec and manufacturing optimization- Be the Go-to Person for the assigned categories for procurement and supplier related tasks & questionsSupplier E2E (end-to-end) Management & Ownership:- Strengthen business partnerships- Supplier performance to meet business KPIs- Commercial & Contract Negotiations- Innovation projects: OTIF (on time in full) deliveries- Savings: smart buying, product logic, cash, e-tender, volume rebate, 5s workshop, optimization projects- Onboard and partner with suppliers on Unilever sustainability agenda- Supplier Management: onboarding, compliance with internal policies, contract management, performance reviewProcurement Activities:- Develop and implement sourcing strategies of Soft Commodities in LATAM and connect with global portfolio leads- Supporting the team to achieve its goals and objectives and monitor target delivery- Price forecasting (of assigned categories & suppliers) and Mitigation - work closely with Finance BP to receive and interpret material inflation, bring material dynamics from Portfolio teams and external market insights, translating to business impact- Support Savings Program - identify and act to implement cost savings opportunities- Sourcing Models - continuously benchmark sourcing and buying capabilities via an intimate understanding of material value chains- Support and implement Sustainability projects- Defining and implementing resilience plans for in scope materialsLEVEL OF EDUCATION NEEDED:Bachelor's degreeWHAT YOU´LL NEED TO SUCCEED?- Sourcing Direct &/or Indirect Spend, OR Procurement Leadership.- Strong communication skills: ability to present complex topics in an effective and concise manner, effective strategic influencing at all levels, grounded through financial acumen and credibility.- Negotiation: Ability to find common ground and commercially acceptable solutions, with risk identification and management.- Team Leadership: Promote a shared vision and inspires others to embrace learning, experimentation, development.- Creative Problem Solving: awareness and intervention through the value chain to seek disruptive, impactful solutions.- Personal Effectiveness: Effective and proven strategic planning, ability to learn quickly, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously, resilient and determined towards success. Calm in the face of ambiguity.- Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
