**Visión general**:The Fixtures R&D Mexico Industrialization leader is responsible for Ceramic New Product Development (NPD) and Ceramic product Plant Transfers in our Mexico ceramic plants. The Leader will need to upgrade the current processes by incorporating VSU (Vertical start up methodology). This process is already used extensively in our Asia plants with much success. The leader will need to work with the teams in Asia to understand the process and develop strategies and systems to replicate and introduce this methodology in the Mexico Ceramic facilities.The Leader will be accountable for quality, speed, and business impact of the projects. New products require extensive cross-functional and cross-site coordination within the 3 Mexico Chinaware plants. This position will manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, as well as leading all of the Mexico Fixtures R&D organization. The leader will be responsible for NPD’s and transfers from trial through mass production. He or she will work closely with Manufacturing, Industrial Design, Quality, and Procurement functions to ensure that optimal business solutions are implemented and teams are working efficiently. Specific responsibilities will include:**Responsabilidades**:Coordinating the workload and strategy for the Mexico industrialization team which has approximately 10 members. Responsible to set and manage the following KPI (Key Performance Indicators): Development Time, Product delivery quantity and Yield, Product cost, CTQ (Critical to Quality) measurement compliance.Work closely with LIXIL international team members to develop and standardize VSU (Vertical Startup Methodology) and align it with our current processes. Understand the similarities and differences and which process holds an advantage. Implement the unified, aligned process.Identifying risks on projects and formulating and executing abatement plans.Responsible for identifying and executing continuous improvement activities on both NPD/product transfersIdentifying potential cost out or quality improvement projects (new and existing products)Managing, planning, scheduling, communicating, facilitating, and reporting project-related tasks.Managing NPD CAPEX and OPEX.Break down work into manageable tasks required to meet project objectives and assigning and/or directing the work of others.Leading cross-functional teams.Manage the Case mold shop employees through the group leaderManage the CNC shop in Mexico through the group leaderUtilize the CAD team located in Mexico to make product improvements while collaborating with the main CAD teams in Asia and the USA.**Requisitios**:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other analytical discipline.Proven ability to effectively negotiate and facilitate complex problem resolutionMust be able to travel up to 50% of the time.Fluency in English is required.Product Development experience in a consumer durable goods business strongly preferred.Six sigma certification is required, desirable Black belt certification5+ years’ experience leading New products industrializationEffective verbal, written communication, training skills and relationship building skillsMust be a self-starter and capable of working with minimum supervisionDemonstrates proficiency in the ability to build a program schedule, coordinate resources, and execute a plan.
