YOUR ROLE Design, specify, test, validate and release Propulsion Systems components for assigned vehicle families; analyze and solve part‑related failures; propose, validate, and obtain cost reductions on these parts. Process documentation on changes or modifications to components from assigned vehicle families (Change Notices). Review component changes (specifications, production location, tooling refurbishment, TIER 2 suppliers, etc.) from suppliers, process documentation and authorize required testing (DVP&R) on these changes. Approve or reject documents for Temporary Substitution on components in Assembly Plant. Request prototype part manufacturing to solve warranty issues. Obtain product changes information, implementation dates, service and/or recall technical bulletins, Product Engineering standards, bill of material and Engineering graphs. Creation and approval of Tool Kick Off (TKO) request for parts on assigned vehicle families. Coordinate DFMEAs and PFMEAs with suppliers. Support Pilot and Pre‑series events in Assembly Plants. Design parts in NX Software (2D & 3D). YOUR PROFILE Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electro‑mechanical, etc.). Previous experience: Preferable 1-2 years in automotive industry as Product Engineer or product development‑related position. Internal Combustion Engine/Electric Motor/Power Electronics accessories’ components/structural components such as brackets. Solid knowledge in automotive vehicles and systems, assembly and manufacturing, part validation and automotive systems. Knowledge in Internal Combustion Engines, thermodynamics and statistics; testing, validation and failure solving in Automotive Industry or similar. Good skills to communicate and present ideas, as well as experience in basic software suits (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Minitab, etc.) Computer‑design software skill in NX and/or CATIA. Proactive, analytical, inquiring attitude; synthesis capability, team player. Please note this is a hybrid position in CDMX. Advanced English is mandatory. WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE?
