Likely to lead a team of people and have budgetary/cost reporting responsibility. Likely to be an expert in leanmethodologies with a Master Black Belt or equivalent qualification. Coaches, trains, and assesses others**Responsibilities**:#Drive ever-improving results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills, and change management process.#Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success#Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect Lean and advise others of any impact Directly provide formal and informal training and coaching.#Facilitate training sessions when appropriate (other trainers and consultants from BELDEN or other) ##Assist in achieving business unit Strategic Deployment Process (SDP) and Strategic Plan objectives.#Regularly participate in SDP reviews#Ensure productive kaizen events#Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them#Improve training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in Lean tools#Promote and facilitate associate development in lean production tools, and kaizen leadership ##Evaluate and approve another Leader#s for Black Belt certification#Benchmark and incorporate best practices ##Communicate the importance of effective quality management in accordance with the requirements of quality management system.#Must be able to comply with the company attendance policy#Completes all other duties as assigned.**Required Skills and Experience**#5 years of Operations or Engineering experience including LeanBSc or BEng Degree or master#s degree with a preference in Engineering#Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a #general manager#s# pointof view#Ability to design, develop, and implement a lean roadmap for an operating business#Mastery of a variety of process improvement tools like VSM, 5S, Six Sigma, TPI, SDP, etc#Superior communications skills ##Superior training skills and adult learning theory ##Superior consulting/influencing skills#Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies#Hands-on experience implementing Toyota Production System, Six Sigma concepts or equivalent in aline management role#Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments#Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)#Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management#Lean Leaders assigned to non-English-speaking locations must be able to read, speak, and write in English as well as read, speak, and write in the local languageAt Belden, you can build a career in a way no other company can duplicate.
