Procurement Director

Descripción y detalle de las actividades- Be the expert on procurement needs across SPG Mexico sites, setting the procurement strategy, and identifying procurement requirements, priorities and risks- Drive cost-effective procurement initiatives across Mexico plants to maximize procurement value in line with business objectives- Deliver measurable savings through undertaking strategic tenders, supplier consolidation, contract renegotiation, and value engineering- Lead and provide direction to plant procurement leads on tactical and operational level procurement activities required to achieve the defined strategic goals- Regularly liaise with category managers within the central procurement team to ensure category strategies are implemented across Mexico- Collaborate with plant managers to ensure purchasing planning and procurement initiatives are aligned with operational needs- Build and foster long-term relationships with key existing and potential suppliers- Monitor key supplier performance through established performance metrics and set/revaluate KIPs to ensure vendor performance is at the required standard- Communicate purchasing strategies and plans to plant managers, category managers and SPG leadership when required- Align purchasing planning to customer demands and changing customer trends- Support with monitoring supplier compliance to required regulations and practices- Undertake risk management to mitigate SPG loss and reputational damage- Evaluate operational practices and seek ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries- Pioneer the regular and accurate capture of spend data in a standardized format- Generate standardized periodic spend reports to outline Mexico spend patterns- Drive data driven decisions to identify cost saving and value engineering initiatives- Conduct cost analyses and benchmark against the market to identify improvementsExperiência y requisitos- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or a technical field, MBA ideal but not required- Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial position- Minimum of 10 years broad procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment- Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory- Track record of leading cost savings and procurement improvement initiatives- Project management experience and stakeholder management across a range of levels, departments and business units- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present key insights appropriately- Strong organization and business communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Suite and MRP Systems (SAGE, Amtech), as well as strong knowledge of procurement systems- Max 20% Travel as required for vendor meetings, plant visits, trade shows etc.- HYBRID with presence at the local plants as required- Strong procurement expertise across purchasing planning, sourcing, contract management and supplier relationship management- Experience across a range of direct and indirect categories with the ability to pick up new categories as required- Managing timelines, budgets, and resources to drive procurement performance- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively and manage stakeholder expectations- Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers- Ability to draw detailed conclusions from data to drive solutions- High capacity, energy and tenacity- Demonstrate proactivity, agility and flexibility to new challenges- Strong verbal and written standards with a natural eye for detail- A confident leader but able to work as part of a team and inspire colleagues- Be an accomplished and confident presenter- Be keen to contribute ideas and have the ability to extract ideas from others- Trustworthy and discrete when handling confidential informationBeneficios- Beneficios de acuerdo a la LFT**Número de vacantes** 1**Área** Compras**Contrato** Permanente**Modalidad** Presencial**Turno** Diurno**Jornada** Tiempo Completo**Estudios** Carrera con título profesional**Inglés**Hablado: Avanzado, Escrito: Avanzado**Disponibilidad p. viajar** Si
