**Quality Control & Production Supervisor****Full-time Shift(s)**:MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:30pm - 5:30pm**OVERVIEW**:Oversees the initial Quality Inspection & Quality Control of our customer. This employee will work with the General Manager, Corporate QC, Corporate Engineering and Warehouse Leads to help manage incoming inspection quality control, inventory management & production schedule.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:The duties and responsibilities of this position are service-based and will present new and diverse challenges daily. Duties include, but are not limited to:- Development and implementation of QSOP- Provide support during the receiving, quality check, labeling for all incoming inventory- Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications- Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information- Point of contact for all quality rejections from customers - Follow up SCAR's issued- Supervise cleanliness, organization and correct labeling at Receiving and Quarantine areas- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs- Continuous improvement-QIT meetings with Customer- Customer audits- Inventory & production schedule management- Elaborate PPAP & SPAP-Elaborate CAPAS, CONTROL PLAN, 8D'S, PFMEAS- Release of final & in-process products**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:- 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work- Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Proficient computer skills- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency- Exhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs- Ability to speak fluent Spanish and English**PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed- Possess a valid United States Visa- Possess an interest in career advancement**ABOUT US**:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with approximately 3,200 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
