**VP Supply Chain & Logistics****Food & Beverages, preferable from Confectionery industry.**Manufacturing Company located in El Paso Tx. is searching for a VP Supply Chain and Logistics.The incumbent is responsible to establish strategies and oversee their execution leading the Procurement, Logistics and Planning functions. Oversee significant third-party supplier and vendor relationships and ensure optimal performance of the entire manufacturing supply network including commodities and contract negotiation. This position will ensure that systems for management of warehouse functions, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) and materials management scale in support of sales and manufacturing operations. Manage, mentor, coach, and instruct planners, buyers, and logistics and supply chain personnel in the systems, processes, and their roles/responsibilities. Plans, develops, establishes and implements organization’s supply chain policies, strategies, objectives of functions and initiatives to keep in line with organization goals and objectives.**Specific Responsibilities**:- Strategic management of customer-based and supplier-based legal agreements, protecting the company from risk in inventory, pricing and capital allocation.- Lead development and Maintenance of purchasing guidelines that support daily production, reduce cost of capital and maximize inventory turnover.- Managing resources for purchasing support for quoting, new component or capital asset allocation, ensuring the strategic initiatives of company and its subsidiaries.- Executing daily supply chain responsibilities, to ensure project and on-going production goals and objectives are achieved.- Expanding the current supplier base, creating strategic partnerships with both key raw material suppliers and tooling providers.- Manage risk for company through the management and review of all legal documentation, including but not limited to Master Supply Agreements, Supplier Contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Quality Agreements.- Monitors supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls.- Communicates with executives of supply chains and potentially new supply chains and maintains involvement in supplier and vendor negotiations.- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to capture right customer demand and sales forecast.- Creates a strong procurement team to develop vendor management and supply optimization initiatives.- Monitors the scheduling of deliveries to prevent excess stock or backorders.- Ensures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of products and processes.- Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.- Responsible for management of the supply chain for the entire operation including Retail, Food Services and Co-Manufacturing key vendor relationships, planning, procurement and logistics.- Administer supply planning, procurement and forecasting of demand to guarantee resource requirements are met.- Responsible for the development of Sales and Operational Planning with Executive to drive attainment of client delivery, revenue, and margin targets.- Manage the supply of critical materials to all units to ensure supply through accurate, real-time inventory management and continuous tracking of supplies.- Develop and manage key vendor relationships to ensure availability of critical equipment, materials and uninterrupted supply.- Deploy and implement enterprise software and MRP.- Responsible for risk reduction measures through effective risk mitigation programs that focus on appropriate second source strategies, increasing capacities of vendors and shortening supply chain cycle times.- Ensure all US, MX and other suppliers are compliant with local and international regulatory and import/export requirements by working closely with Quality and Regulatory departments.- Minimize variability, align logistics, and forecast demand planning and sourcing to ensure minimum financial impact and uninterrupted manufacturing operations and cold chain workflow.- Maintain accurate forecast models for supply chain.- Oversee the communication of business performance against key performance indicators and associated metrics for production plan adherence, customer service, and inventory management.**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related Logistics/Supply Chain.- Bilingual: English - Spanish- Experience in Food and Beverage, Confectionary industry preferred.- APICS Certification and/or CPIM or CPM certifications preferred.- At least 10-15 years of relevant logistics, courier management, national and preferably international air logistics management, customs and import/export matters, site scheduling and planning for confectionary, retail and co-manufacturing production.- Demonstrated techn
