At Cognizant we promote an inclusive culture, where we value different perspectives providing career growth and development opportunities. #WelcomeToCognizantWe have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Security Engineer**What you’ll do**:- Day-to-day coordination and collaboration with a wide array of IT groups, Information Security teams, business units, and client delivery teams.- Participate in the Agile process to incrementally drive improvement of core security controls- Monitor, manage and tune core security controls.- Azure cloud and M365 management of resource groups, MDE deployment, MDE group creations, policy group creations- Develop and maintain process, Use Cases and standard operating procedure documentation for core security controls.- Strong Troubleshooting skills.**Preferred experience**:- 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in information technology and 3 - 5 years of progressive information security experience across 3 or more information security / information technology risk management domains such as but not limited to:- Network Security- Architecting, policy creation, platform management and troubleshooting of the following technologies:- Next Gen Firewalls (preference for Palo Alto experience)- Certificate Management (preference for Venafi/DigiCert)- MFA (preference for RSA)- IDS/IPS (preference for Palo Alto, Sourcefire and Firepower)- WAF (preference for F5 AWAF and Citrix Web App Firewall experience)- Endpoint Security- Experience with endpoint security solutions to include architecting, deployment, policies and troubleshooting (preference for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint experience)- Must have SCCM experience- Data Security- Understand how data is identified or de-identified- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, LAN, WAN including routing and subnetting.- Experience working with Windows and Linux- Experience working in Cloud Environments Such as (Azure/AWS/GCP) and On-Premise Environments.- Hands-on experience working with EDR, DLP (network and Host), Certificate Management and MFA tools.- Experience with Visio or other diagram tools to create low level designs for review of implementation requirements.- Experience working on Firewall Security Orchestration and automation tools.- In-Depth knowledge and working experience with Layer 2-7 Protocols and security technologies.- Understand how Proxy works including allow lists/block lists and agent troubleshooting.- In depth knowledge of HIPAA regulatory requirements and HiTrust CSF.- Excellent technical aptitude, resourcefulness, and critical thinking skills- Ability to identify security risks and weaknesses and provide security mitigation and remediation recommendations- Demonstrated experience and expertise with multiple security controls within multiple security domains.- Ability to think strategically with strong attention to detail.- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.- Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones, cultures and languages.- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience required- GIAC, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant information security industry recognized certification preferred.**Preferred Skills**:- Network Security- Architecting, policy creation, platform management and troubleshooting of the following technologies:- Next Gen Firewalls (preference for Palo Alto experience)- Certificate Management (preference for Venafi/DigiCert)- MFA (preference for RSA)- IDS/IPS (preference for Palo Alto, Sourcefire and Firepower)- WAF (preference for F5 AWAF and Citrix Web App Firewall experience)- Endpoint Security- Experience with endpoint security solutions to include architecting, deployment, policies and troubleshooting (preference for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint experience- Must have SCCM experience**Why Cognizant?**Improve your career in one of the largest and fastest growing IT services providers worldwideReceive ongoing support and funding with training and development plansHave a highly competitive benefits and salary packageGet the opportunity to work for leading global companiesWe are committed to respecting human rights and build a better future by helping your minds and the environmentWe invest in people and their wellbeing.We create conditions for everyone to thrive.
