GE HealthcareHealthcare Information TechnologyCategoryDigital Technology / ITSenior LevelJob IdR Relocation Assistance No**Job Description Summary**About GE HealthCareRoles and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:- Architect, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Docker, and Linux environments to automate software delivery and ensure high availability- Champion DevOps methodologies and best practices across teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (e.g., with asynchronous frameworks) and design intuitive, responsive user interfaces with React.- Optionally, contribute to infrastructure automation with Ansible, manage cloud services on AWS and Kubernetes, and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform/OpenTofu.- Lead the research and adoption of emerging technologies in full-stack development (Python, React), DevOps, CI/CD, and networking to enhance our technical capabilities.- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers on Python, ORM, React, modern DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, Docker, and Linux systems.- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.- Contribute to the creation of service-oriented software platforms with reusable backend and frontend components.- Experience with Golang for specific microservices or performance-critical components is considered a valuable asset.- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query performance tuning, and ensuring data integrity and availability.- Foster strong peer and cross-functional relationships to maximize best practice sharing, team effectiveness, and streamline development and operational workflows.Education QualificationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience with minimum years of experience 8 yearsTechnical Expertise:- Participates in domain technical and business discussions relative to future design direction aligning with business goals.- Gathers and analyzes data, develop design for the requirements at project level, aligning design requirements with software development strategy.- Reviews exceptions and makes recommendations to the standards at a domain level.- Demonstrate knowledge of business' structure (P&Ls) and the interplay of functions to support business goals; demonstrate knowledge of the business products, key processes, suppliers, customers and market/competitors.- Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.Business Acumen:- Create, analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit; demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger & acquisition opportunities; understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for your business; partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.Leadership:- Recommends allocation of budget to meet product initiatives critical to business/mission success. Develops the business case for approval.- Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain.
