We are on a mission to revolutionize how event planners create, market and manage their events and how attendees experience conferences and tradeshows.**HOW WE BUILD****WHAT YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON**:- **Modern Web App Development**:Collaborate with the team to enhance our responsive progressive web platform—working on offline caching, real-time UI updates, and scalable architecture.- **Feature Development**: Participate in planning, implementing, and testing user-facing features in collaboration with product and design.- **Contribute to Architecture**: Engage in technical discussions and help shape the evolution of our app framework.- **AI assisted development**: Learn and explore tools like GitHub Copilot, Augment, Claude, or other LLM-based assistants for code generation, documentation, and debugging.**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS**:- 3-5 years of experience building user-facing software products- 2+ years working with JavaScript/TypeScript and React- Experience working with REST APIs, JSX, modern HTML/CSS- Familiarity with design systems (Material UI, Ant Design, etc.)- Experience writing and maintaining tests using Jest, React Testing Library- Comfortable debugging common issues in the codebase- Excellent communication: clear, asynchronous collaboration in English**NICE TO HAVE**:- Strong use of typed TypeScript across React hooks and components- Proficiency with React Query or similar libraries for API integration- Mobile/app development experience via Capacitor, Cordova, or React Native- Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.)- Experience with TypeScript across React hooks and components- Familiarity with React Query or similar libraries for API integration- Mobile/app development exposure (Capacitor, Cordova, or React Native)- Exposure to Docker, AWS, or CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)- Understanding of SOLID principles, domain modeling, or design patterns**WHAT WILL YOU GET FROM EVENTMOBI?**- **Compensation**:Base salary ranges from $40k to $65k CAD depending on experience- **Time-Off**:2-weeks PTO + 3-summer days + your birthday is a holiday (seriously log-off and hang out with the fam or go do something fun) + opportunities to meet your co-workers in person throughout the year- **Tools**: Top of the line hardware and the best collaboration software for remote work so you can be as productive as possible while working from home- **The Best Coworkers Ever**:If you ask anyone that has worked at EventMobi, they will tell you that their fellow Mobiers are the best part of their experience Don't underestimate the positive impact of caring co-workers have on your everyday happiness.**REMOTE WORKSPACE REQUIREMENTS**:- You have a safe, comfortable, and ergonomic workspace and working environment - a private and quiet workspace is a vital requirement for doing your best work- You have a reliable internet connection capable of participating in video calls, with at least 30Mbps download speed**ABOUT EVENTMOBI**We're focused on building the most comprehensive event management platform to help conference organizers create engaging event experiences.
