**Job Description Summary**: Responsible of working according with established policies, controls, accepted practices and purchasing techniques. Manage the overall procurement process for designated suppliers.Responsible to interact with supply base and internal personnel to identify and implement cost reductions opportunities. It is proficient in all aspects of purchasing fundamentals, RFQ issuance, bid analysis, source selection and negotiation, primary to achieving success.Responsible for strategic procurement, managing supplier relationship, supply chain security, supplier measurement, supplier contracts (or agreements), and supplier pricing for supply base within the suppliers assigned.The regular activities of the Sr. Buyer are:- Continuous pricing negotiation.- To maintain supplier/Item relationship.- To update MRP system to reflect supplier agreements.- Continuous PPV review for year goal accomplishments.- Review supplier quality issues; coordinate RTV in less than 15 days.- Support Quality with supplier corrective and preventive actions, escalation chain is required.- Support Quality with required supplier documentation.- Payments terms negotiation.- Monitor closing/termination of supplier credits.- Participate and provide accurate information to item cost standard preparation.- Support Customs with required supplier documentation.- Responsible for two process improvements projects in materials dept.- Monitor inventory movement with the use of MRP to expedite and de expedite material based on action messages.- Review MRP once a week to react to messages.- Track plant inventory levels, such as excess and obsolescence and takes appropriate action.- Conduct accurate analysis of spend information, for effective negotiations and decision-making.- Communicate relevant procurement information to the appropriate target audience.- Analyze and track procurement trends, identify new opportunities.- Oversee and lead contracts negotiations.- Attend production meeting with accurate date.- Communicate in a timely manner if there will be any delays in production due to material shortages. (5 days in advance as minimum).The periodic activities of the Sr. Buyer are:- Review open orders report with suppliers once a month to increase supplier reliability.- Support accounts payable for timely and accurate invoice payments, no past due for 60 days.- Initiate/participate in cost improvement projects.- Negotiate Inventory Management techniques that support inventory goal with 3 suppliers per year.The eventual activities of the Sr. Buyer are:Cover desk in case of vacations for a team member.Assure Certifies of Origin or Affidavit letter are ready to import material before is purchase.Participate on Physical Inventories**Primary Work Location**: MEX Reynosa**Additional Locations**:**Work Shift**:
