Data Analyst

We know you want to be successful at work and at home, and together we can ensure that both our business goals and your personal aspirations are met.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Data Collection & Management- Collect, consolidate, and validate data from various internal and external sources (e.g., CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, operational systems).- Maintain and improve data quality, integrity, and accuracy through regular audits, reporting and data cleansing processes.- Develop and manage data pipelines and workflows for repeatable analysis.Data Analysis & Reporting- Analyze large datasets to uncover insights related to business performance, customer behavior, operations, and market trends.- Translate business requirements into data models and analytics solutions.- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.- Perform ad hoc analyses to support various teams including marketing, finance, operations, management, and product engineering.Business Collaboration- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop analytical solutions that support strategic goals.- Communicate findings clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences through presentations, summaries, and visualizations.- Make recommendations based on data-driven analysis to improve processes, increase revenue, or reduce costs.Data Governance & Compliance- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and company data governance policies.- Maintain documentation for data sources, definitions, and methodology used in reporting and analysis.Qualifications:Education:- Associates degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required).Experience:- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.- Proven track record of solving real-world problems using data-driven approaches.Technical Skills:- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.- Familiarity with data warehousing and database systems (e.g., MySQL, Snowflake, etc.).- Solid Excel skills including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts.Soft Skills:- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.- Attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.- Effective communication and presentation skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Curiosity and passion for using data to tell stories and influence decisions.Preferred Certifications:- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)- SQL or Python certifications (e.g., from DataCamp, Coursera, or Udemy)Working Conditions:- Hybrid or remote work model available depending on organizational policy.- Interaction with global teams or vendors may require flexibility in working hours.What we offer:- Competitive benefit package including health, dental, disability, life, and voluntary insurance options- Time to recharge through PTO, plus 10 annual holidays, and parental leave- Work-life balance with a flexible work schedule so you can focus on professional and personal priorities- Retirement preparation with a 401(k) and company matching- Financial support for continuing education- Employee Assistance Program- An equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplaceFLSmidth is the leading supplier of engineering, equipment and service solutions to customers in the mining and minerals industries - for more information please visitWhat’s it like to work at FLSmidth - Watch the video:What’s it Like to Work at FLSmidth?
