**Company Description**MedTrainer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Queretaro, Mexico. This role will take an ownership role in many key accounting operations, assisting with monthly close procedures for the US office and supporting the financial activities of our Mexico subsidiary. This role will report to the US Controller with exposure to key executives. This position is designed as a controller-track opportunity, ideal for a Senior Accountant ready to expand into financial oversight, compliance, and strategic decision-making.**Job Description** Responsibilities**:- Assist with monthly close procedures:- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for various accounts & processes- Prepare journal entries and perform various account reconciliations.- Contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of US GAAP financial statements.- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient accounting processes.- Participate in ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.- Support US GAAP financial audits; liaise with external auditors.- Implement and monitor internal controls.- Optimize accounting processes across Mexico and US entities.- Mentor and train junior staff- Support the accounting functions for MedTrainer's Mexico subsidiary.**Qualifications**- High attention to detail and accuracy.- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).- Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills.- Solid understanding of US GAAP Accounting principles.- Experience performing month-end and year-end close for US entities.- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience with 3 years in a senior supervisory role.- Familiarity with US payroll processes.- Advanced spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) proficiency.**Nice to Have**:- Experience with NetSuite accounting software.- CPA, CMA, or Contador Publico Certificado preferred.**Additional Information** Benefits**- ** Career Growth**: Strong development opportunities with clear paths for advancement.- ** Healthcare Coverage**:Paid major medical insurance expenses.- ** Savings Plan**: Access to a Caja de Ahorro program.- ** Free Meals & Snacks**:Enjoy complimentary breakfast, lunch, drinks, and snacks daily.- ** Wellness Perks**: In-office health department and discounted access to gyms and fitness studios with TotalPass.
