Receiving Supervisor

**What you will do**:The receiving supervisor is responsible for the receiving department and the people who work within it. They are in charge of unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and stocking shelves. They work closely with the purchasing department to ensure that the correct merchandise is being received. They also work with the warehouse manager to ensure that the merchandise is being stored properly.**How you will do it**:- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.- Unload, check, and store incoming merchandise according to company procedures- Inspect shipments for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.- Keep accurate records of received merchandise using computerized inventory systems.- Pull and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.- Restock shelves as needed and maintain par levels of stock.- Train and supervise receiving clerks and other staff as needed.- Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise as necessary.- Coordinate with purchasing department to resolve issues with backordered or out-of-stock items.- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to received merchandise.- Prepare reports on receiving activities as needed.- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.**What we look for**:**Required**:- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, marketing.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.- Experience with databases and spreadsheets.- Good computer skills.- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent attention to detail, math’s, and multi-tasking skills.- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team.**Preferred**:- Manufacturing experience (HVAC a plus)- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.- Strong desire of learning, benchmarking.- Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion._
