Descripción del trabajo Location: Mexico (with regular travel to the United States/Houston) Employment Type: Full-Time Travel Requirement: Periodic travel to the U.S. required Reports To: CFO / VP Finance About the Role Strategic CFO is a boutique accounting consulting firm based in Houston, Texas. We are seeking a highly skilled Treasurer to lead treasury operations and support financial reporting for a U.S.-based organization. This role will be based in Mexico and will work closely with U.S. finance leadership, requiring periodic travel to the United States. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, prior treasury experience, and deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and banking compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee treasury operations including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships Prepare and manage bank compliance reporting, including borrowing base certificates for U.S. lenders Ensure ongoing compliance with loan covenants and banking requirements Support financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP Partner with U.S.-based finance leadership on forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital initiatives Maintain and enhance internal controls related to treasury activities Support external audits and provide treasury-related documentation Coordinate cross-border financial activities and reporting requirements Travel to the United States as needed to support banking relationships, audits, and executive meetings Qualifications & Experience Active Accountant or Public Accountant license (CPA or equivalent strongly preferred) Previous experience in a Treasurer or treasury-related role Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Hands‑on experience with bank compliance and borrowing base certificate preparation Demonstrated financial reporting experience Former Controller experience is a strong plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders Ability to legally travel to the United States for business purposes Experience working with U.S.-based companies or cross-border operations (preferred) Bilingual Spanish / English proficiency strongly preferred Why Join Us High‑impact role supporting U.S. operations from Mexico.
