QA / Testing Lead

The role involves developing comprehensive test strategies, defining best practices, and establishing quality metrics. The QA Lead will oversee test execution, manage risks, and ensure thorough documentation and communication of test results. Strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality standards are essential.- Create automations for release testing, new enhancements, & regression testing.- Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and lead the implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.- Manual testing: Identify and advise when manual testing is required. Define the process, qualifications, test scripts.- Creates proper peer review. Efficiency gains for architects, administrators, developers.- Test Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and company objectives.- Define best practices- Create testing playbook, standards, and testing automations.- Establish results output- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software quality. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.- Quality Metrics: Define, track, and report on quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and drive continuous improvement.- Test Execution and Reporting: Oversee the execution of test plans, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. Ensure thorough documentation and communication of test results and defect reports.Technical Skills:- Advanced understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).- Programming skills in a test automation framework, API testing tools; Playwright, Selenium, RSAT, etc.- Basic knowledge of programming languages; Javascript, Python, C++, C#- Experience with various test management tools.- Strong grasp of Agile development practices.- Proficient in logging and managing defects in a bug tracking system.- Fundamental understanding of SQL data base management.- Comprehensive use of version control and git.Soft Skills:- Analytical thinker, break down complex systems to identify issues and vulnerabilities- Appetite for process development and documentation- Problem solver, able to collaborate with developers to understand issues. Knowing what questions to ask and when to ask them.- Strong written and verbal communication skills. English proficiency a must.- End User empathy.
