The Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities across the Accounting organization including the preparation of monthly accounting records as well as related reporting, analytical activities and initiatives.General Responsibilities- Prepare and enter journal entries- Responsible for performing balance sheet reconciliations- Follow the company’s chart of accounts- Support month-end and year-end close process- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options- Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures, liaising with management and cross-functional stakeholders- Prepare financial statements and supplemental schedules- Develop and document business processes ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions- Prepare special financial reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsExperience / Qualifications- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersLI-AA2SmarterTogether- Collaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing- Employees work across functions, countries and cultures gaining new perspectives through mutual respect and open communication- As OneSensata, we are working together to make things work togetherClick here to viewSensata Recruitment Privacy StatementClick here to view ourSensata Recruitment Privacy Statement for China
