Measurements Technician

**Location**: Apodaca, NLE, MX, 66614**Company**:Corning**Purpose of Position.** Maintain inspections, measuring and test equipment to meet the requirements of production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000.**The major responsibilities and tasks of the position.**A. Provides technical support through standardized methods and procedures for measurement instruments.B. Work with Engineering and supervisors to maintain Calibration System upgraded of existing measurement systems.C. Participate actively and engage with key manufacturing activities to develop new Technology.D. Participate on cost reductions and improvement projects with Engineering groups and Operation areas.E. Demonstrate and understanding of the technical processes and tools to execute Calibration process.F. Perform the Calibration role meticulously, identifying equipment Out of Calibration.G. Assure the Calibration lab keeps and Calibration System are “up to date”H. Keep in best conditions of Calibration Masters and performing calibration aligned to the internal procedures.I. Calibrate several magnitudes such as : Optical/Temperature/Force/ Dimensional /Mechanical etcetera**Knowledge and Skill Requirements.**A. Education.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.B. Work Experience.Experience in reading drawings.Knowledge of SPC is a plusExperience in ISO 9001, TL 9000 is a plus.Knowledge of measurement equipment.
