We also provide distinctive and original solutions which result in competitive advantages.Antares Tech is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to develop, engineer and innovate new processes and high-volume steel equipment with the Laser Weld manufacturing team. Specifically, this engineer must be also a Siemens PLC programmer, with demonstrated experience in steel or metallurgical industries**Key Responsibilities**- Develop laser weld processes and qualify them using statistically valid data sets and workflow- Manage installation, qualification and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment including but not limited to laser welding systems.- Collaborate with Production Engineering, EH&S, Quality, Operations and Design for maximum yield, quality, machine availability and output- Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing Capex and lead-time- Generate machine specifications, documentation, and manufacturing instructions- Participate in the process of development and commissioning of PLC based machinery for new and/or upgrade projects.- Collaborate recursively and assertively with other technical areas within the department to analyze the feasibility of technical implementations where automation is required by means of PLC, robotics or motion control with servo systems or a combination of all.- Provide technical support to prepare quotations related to implementations where an automation is required.- Preparation and analysis of feasibility of automation implementations.- Be aware of hardware upgrades and new technology incomes to be updated regarding the Schaeffler's SMB standard for PLC based automation.**Skills**:- University degree in electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronics.- 2 to 5 years' experience as PLC programmer- Excellent spoken and written English skills.- Great soft skills required.- High capacity of self-management and autodidacticism.- Availability to rotate shifts**Strong knowledge in**:- PLC programing with SSL, AWL and ladder languages.- SIEMENS TIA Portal, Step 7 and WinCC.- Distributed systems, SCADA's and OPC technology.- Experience with automation field buses like PROFINET, Ethernet, CAN Bus or Profibus.- Interpretation of electrical and/or electronic diagrams using European or American standard.- BS/MS/PhD Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or 6+ years relevant experience- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software- Experience working with different laser welding tools, materials and vision systems- Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing- Proven track record of data driven workflow to solve complex problems**Desirable knowledge in**:- Motion control with servo drives (SINAMICS)- SIMOCODE Starters, Soft Starters- Experience with other PLC brands than SIEMENS like Allen Bradley- Experience with roboticsIf you are interested in joining us and being part of our team, send us your resume.
