Supply Chain Manager, Vostok, Global Purchasing Program (GPP)

Looking for an opportunity to make a global impact? The International Expansions (IE) organization’s charter is to rapidly expand Amazon’s retail presence globally, partnering closely with compliance, category management, technology, and product teams to deliver the world’s largest selection to our international customers.

The Supply Chain Manager we are looking for is focused on new initiatives and always thinking about the bigger picture. This role will allow you to work across various internal teams to evaluate the customer landscapes and invent innovative approaches to solve ambiguous problems. Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, you’ll continuously be scoping out new solutions. You’ll conduct your own research and analysis, always with an eye on the long-term vision of the business. This is your opportunity to have a big impact on one of the most exciting programs that are shaping the future of Amazon.

The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a fast-paced, demanding, and often ambiguous environment. Additionally, since this position involves working with multiple stakeholders around the world in a fast-growing opportunity, we need someone with strong stakeholder management capabilities and ownership with a great bias for action in getting things done themselves. In this role, you will be a true entrepreneur and manage all aspects of your business on a daily basis.

Key job responsibilities
  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organization.
  • Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organizations.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, seeing them through from start to finish.
  • Enhance operational performance on every program in partnership with your stakeholders.
  • Develop inbound supply chain strategy and build scalable and efficient inbound processes through various programs to drive inbound cost improvement, defect reduction, and seller/vendor experience improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conduct peak planning.
  • Take responsibility for supply chain management, including buying parameters, inventory planning, transportation planning, and cost improvement.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our global inventory transfer products, helping internal stakeholders to develop requirements and build products that enable incremental selection for international customers.
About the team

We are successful by focusing on aggressive selection expansion for our emerging marketplaces. If you would like to be part of a team that is changing the way ecommerce works, provide an English language resume.
