We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer / Technical Lead to lead a partner delivery team responsible for configuring Jeppesen’s mission-critical Crew and Operations Management systems for airline customers. This role combines technical leadership, Python development, and close collaboration with airline stakeholders to translate complex operational rules into stable, high-quality solutions that meet global delivery standards. Qualifications 6+ years of professional experience working with Python Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or equivalent Experience in the airline industry , particularly Crew and/or Operations Planning Knowledge of RAVE (proprietary rule language) Experience working directly with clients and end users Source control experience with Git (GitHub/GitLab or similar) Development and administration on Linux systems Software testing practices Understanding of Functional Programming Key Responsibilities Team & Technical Leadership Lead a delivery squad of Analysts and Configuration Developers , managing end-to-end implementation work Act as the primary technical authority for Python-based business logic and RAVE configuration Delivery Quality & Scope Ensure adherence to standardized implementation playbooks to control technical debt and avoid bespoke rework Maintain high delivery quality aligned with Jeppesen’s global standards Integration & Optimization Oversee development of enterprise-grade integrations , replacing legacy custom connectors Ensure compliance with ARINC 424/633 standards Collaborate with Chief Systems Officers (CSOs) to optimize solutions for airline-specific constraints (e.g., union rules, fatigue risk) Testing & Validation Lead Parallel Operations testing, validating new configurations against legacy systems to ensure safety, accuracy, and cost efficiency Nice to Have Familiarity with AI/ML concepts , especially for automation or documentation analysis Knowledge of ARINC data exchange protocols Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Information Technology Industries Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
