ICON people have a mission to succeed and a passion that ensures what we do, we do well.As **Financial Analyst I **on the Global Sales Operations team, you will support the Commercial group by developing and maintaining reports and analysis regarding sales performance. You will partner with your Commercial colleagues and will work with senior executives across the business**The role**:- Develop and maintain recurring reports and analysis using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel- Assist with the quarterly Commercial close process, which includes the board presentation and investor call materials.- Complete and distribute weekly sales performance by Service Area.- Analyze current quarter and YTD results against applicable targets.- Aide in the compilation of the Weekly Opportunities Roadmap.- Take active leadership in managing the service, sponsor and account executive award and RFP targets.- Support the creation and continued enhancing of service area forecasts for Commercial and Operational leadership.- Other ad-hoc sales reporting needs from across the enterprise.- Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centers around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.- As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, energy, responsiveness, decision-making, and effectiveness.**What you will need**:- At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a finance setting (possibly client facing and/ or business partnering)- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economic and finance,.- Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel with ability to manipulate and draw meaningful analysis and actions from data- Proficient in business analysis methodologies and techniques.- Solid understanding of sales and compensation plans.- Ability to perform calculations on time, revenues, and commercial aspects with a strong emphasis on finance.- Experience in sales analysis, including identifying trends and opportunities.- Familiarity with data seats or similar data visualization tools.- Ideally a fluent understanding of key aspects of clinical research, including program design, program management, metrics, and pricing- English advanced fluent- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to inspire confidence- Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization- Commercially astute individual with a proven ability to understand and solve problems- Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage projects/ deliverables on time- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement initiatives- Ability to switch between micro and macro view- Ideally a fluent understanding of key aspects of clinical research, including program design, program management, metrics, and pricing**Benefits of Working in ICON**:Our success depends on the knowledge, capabilities and quality of our people.
