**Job Description Summary**: Responsible for leading a software engineering team (~ 10 people). In this role, the manager will demonstrate leadership and accountability in successfully delivering and maintaining software engineering solutions for different engineering teams in GE Aerospace, mainly focus, but not limited, on tools and solutions related to Preliminary Design and Stress & Life analysis.- ** Foster a culture of operational excellence by identifying and mitigating risks, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement through standard work, key performance indicators, and process enhancements.**:- ** Establish common goals and objectives aligned with business needs, while influencing and shaping the team’s short- and long-term vision.**:- ** Actively collaborate with the team in technical discussions, coaching and support, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost).**:- ** Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members, leadership, customers, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.**:- ** Drive strategic talent management and team development efforts to align workforce capabilities with organizational goals**:- ** Manage resource allocation, budget planning, and project timelines to achieve business objectives.**:**Requirements**:- **Bachelor’s degree in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).**:- ** Extensive knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.**:- ** Deep understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and the ability to implement and adapt them to team needs**:- ** Strategic thinking, Problem-solving and decision-making**:- ** Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.**:- ** Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.**:- ** Good communication in English and Spanish.**:- ** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.**:- ** Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams across global locations.**:- ** Understanding of physics-based modeling and simulation (Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics)**:**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
